Masalah TIKUS suatu isu kepada industri pengilang.

Tikus antara perosak yang telah menimbulkan masalah kepada pengusaha kilang. Antara faktornya;

1. Mesin kerja.
Tikus sangat suka mencari tempat yang sunyi. Mesin kerja adalah salah satu tempat yang selamat bagi tikus. Tidak semua mesin kerja berfungsi atau digunakan pada setiap masa.

2. Tempat rehat.
Kebiasaanya kawasan rehat dikaitkan dengan tempat makan dan minum. Sisa makanan dan minuman dibiarkan bersepah dan tidak dibersihkan. Ini antara faktor punca kehadiran tikus di kawasan kilang. Kebiasaannya tempat rehat berhampiran kilang (satu bangunan yang sama).

3. Stor.
Stor yang bersih dan tersusun belum tentu terlepas kehadiran tikus. Perlu diingatkan, tikus sangat suka tempat yang sunyi dan gelap. Aktiviti tikus mudah dijumpai didalam stor, walaupun kawasan tersusun dalam teratur. 

4. Kantin 
Jika kedudukan kantin di dalam kawasan bangunan yang sama (dalam satu bumbung) adalah salah satu punca kehadiran tikus masuk ke dalam kawasan kilang / gudang.

Antara kaedah penyelesaiannya;

1. Mesin kerja

Sentiasa dilakukan penyelenggaraan sekerap mungkin, sebaik-baiknya minima 3 hari seminggu  atau sekali dalam seminggu. Kekerapan aktiviti pembersihan dan pemeriksaan pada mesin kerja, akan menyebabkan tikus menjadi tidak selesa dan menganggap kawasan itu tidak selamat bagi tikus.

2. Tempat rehat.

Sebaik-baiknya tempat rehat bukan tempat bersarapan atau makan tengah hari atau makan petang atau makan malam. Sisa makanan yang tidak dibersihkan punca menjemput kehadiran tikus.

3. Stor

Aktiviti tikus mudah dijumpai didalam stor, walaupun kawasan tersusun dalam teratur. Pastikan lampu sentiasa dinyalakan / dihidupkan sekerap yang mungkin.

4. Kantin.
